Groundwater contamination: Did a roadside diesel spill cause a commercial water spring to shut down?
A commercial water company sued an electrical utility for contaminating one of its wells and lost sales revenue following a minor diesel fuel spill off a mountain roadway. The defense needed to demonstrate how ground contamination was geologically separated from the spring’s watershed and that the water alleged was wasted was actually pre-sold to a national beverage company.
